1. Application for press or bloggers trip
To request a press trip or bloggers trip organized by Tourism Valencia, you must understand this document and send off the corresponding request as well as the Release Clause that appears in Point 2 . Media companies and bloggers that require assistance must complete and submit the corresponding application (create with hyperlink).
Turismo Valencia will contact the applicant to confirm whether or not Turismo Valencia is in a position to offer support, taking into account issues such as time, availability, etc.
Travel must be requested two weeks in advance. Turismo Valencia may propose alternative dates to those requested, based on availability of personnel, the subject matter and the availability of the collaborating entities, all of which will be agreed upon with the applicant.
Journalists / bloggers should complete and return the request two weeks prior to the date of travel. They should inform Turismo Valencia at the earliest opportunity about their needs: travel dates, main theme of the article or feature, required visits, photography / filming permits, interviews, etc. Turismo Valencia cannot guarantee that any of the requests will be able to be fulfilled on location.
Turismo Valencia will evaluate the possibility of providing assistance to the team, depending on the number of attendees, their commitment to mention and take pictures of the participating entities, as well as the availability of these entities.
Prior to confirming this support during their visit to the city, Turismo Valencia may request that the particular media company confirm they will be running the feature. Similarly, Turismo Valencia may ask freelance journalists to submit any articles they have published over the last year in the current media, so their request may be considered.
Bloggers should have had their blog live for at least a year and a half, and should provide data on its number of unique visitors per month, as well as the number of followers they have in their social networks. Bloggers who wish to go on a tour with Turismo Valencia shall commit to publish at least two posts on their blog, which should include links to the websites of the participating entities involved in their visit and they should also share information on the places visited, as well as accommodation, shops, restaurants and airlines, in their social networks .
Turismo Valencia is not responsible for the travel, accommodation or logistic support costs of any travelling companions that are not professionally linked to the trip, be they family or friends. If they are professionally linked, then this condition should be demonstrated through a document providing evidence of the assignment.
2. Conditions for the Article
If the journalist / blogger accepts the itinerary with accommodation, flights and meals in entities provided by Turismo Valencia, the entities included in the itinerary must be mentioned and highlighted in the article/feature, as well as on posts in social media. If this is not the case, then Turismo Valencia should be notified of this fact in advance, with the reasons for this fully explained, such that Turismo Valencia may decide if it is possible to propose alternative entities participating or if it is not possible to offer the service.
As a source of information, a link to the www.turisvalencia.es/visitvalencia.comTourism Valencia website must be given, as should the Valencia Tourist Card http://www.valenciatouristcard.com/es/portada.
Valencia Tourism may use the report or film, for publicity purposes only, in presentations on the city or on its associate members, to give a copy of it to the press trip collaborating entities, in Turismo Valencia’s social networks, on its website or in “Valencia en Portada”- its annual publication which compiles the best tourist articles on the city. To do so it will be necessary for the owner of the rights to the feature to send the duly filled in Rights Release Clause to Turismo Valencia.

3. Turismo Valencia
Turismo Valencia has a press kit available for press trip participants, which includes informative material, specific documents to aid the press, such as royalty free photos and a press pack, as well as a Valencia Card for each professional, with different validity durations depending on their length of stay.
Turismo Valencia can arrange interviews and meetings with prominent Valencian personalities and can also suggest personalities to meet, depending on the subject matter in hand.
Turismo Valencia will also provide relevant background information, a calendar of events, statistics, good ideas for activities, as well as themes and other information.
Turismo Valencia will plan an itinerary that includes visits and meetings that have been previously arranged with each journalist, which the journalists should then agree to attend. In the event they are not able to do so, then they should notify Turismo Valencia well in advance. If journalists so wish, they may manage and attend the visits and meetings themselves, without the intervention of Turismo Valencia.
Turismo Valencia offers guided walking and cycling tours when this is requested by the journalist and if TV deems it necessary.
Turismo Valencia can also try to include lunches / dinners in the program, but for this to occur, commitment must be given by the journalist to mention the restaurants in their feature.
It can provide, upon prior request, contact information the PR personnel at hotels, museums, attractions and other services.
Turismo Valencia will not hire guides or other accompanying persons for the duration of the press trip.
Turismo Valencia does not provide any accreditations or letters authorising visits, photography or filming in the various attractions. Permits for visits, photography and filming are handled directly by the press services of the various entities that manage the attractions.
Images and video footage that is free from copyright can be downloaded from the virtual pressroom.
Valencia Tourism reserves the right to accompany the journalist at certain times.
4. Access to and mobility around Valencia
Valencia Tourism will evaluate whether it can offer support with the air or train fares, if this is so requested at least one month before the date of travel and under the commitment, if there are free tickets available, that the carrier is mentioned in the article or feature.
If Turismo Valencia is not able to provide assistance with the ticket, then it will provide the journalist with the contact details of the travel company, so they can ask for such assistance.
Upon the advance request of the journalist, Turismo Valencia will also make a Valencia Tourist Card available in the press kit, under the condition that this is mentioned in the article / feature. This free transportation card can be collected, upon advance notice, at the Airport Tourist Information Office.
Accommodation will be offered at the discretion of Turismo Valencia. If Turismo Valencia decides to offer accommodation for the press trip, then it is essential that the hotel is given specific mention in the article / feature, and more prominently than the other mentioned establishments.
If mentioning the establishment in the article or feature is not acceptable to the journalist, then Turismo Valencia will not undertake to search for free accommodation for them.
Turismo Valencia can contact hotels to get a special rate for the press, to be paid for by the media company, journalist or Turismo Valencia itself, depending on the type of media concerned and the availability of accommodation.
These conditions may be modified by the organization in the event of special programs or circumstances, and this will be notified ahead of time.
